Dog Sitting

 

General

 

• Main focus is food, bed, and outside breaks (and some cuddle time if they want it).
• Be careful when opening or using the front door so the dogs don't get out
• If somehow they do get out, try to get them back by saying "come get a treat" or something using the word treat
• Sammi will respond to Treat, Rosie may not
• Dogs are pretty much chill throughout the day.
• They may want out throughout the day and may or may not do anything more than hang on the cots on the porch.
• Keep the gate blocking the lower stairs closed during the day. It can be left open once dogs are in bed.
• Dogs stay downstairs for the most part since Sammi should not be running up the stairs with her leg issue.
• If you go up to hang in the game room, they can come as well if they want, but they can also stay down if they choose. If they come up, please bring a gate to keep them in the room with you if you have the door open.

 

Dog Schedule

 

• Wake up and head directly downstairs and out the back door
• Monitor for a few minutes to make sure they pee and poop
• If not, just let them back immediately out after they eat to try lol again
• Feed breakfast
• Chill
• Feed dinner

 

*Throughout the day, they may indicate they want out by going to the door

• Sammi may "Grrr" at you if she wants something
• Rosie will sit and look at you for no apparent reason (wagging her tail usually).
• If you say 'need to go outside?' and then move toward the door, if they need to go out they will head in that direction

 

Food and Feeding

 

One (1) heaping scoop each of the dry dog food from the food bin (Scoop is in the food bin)

• Sammi gets one of the half pills in her food with each meal
• Splash of warm water in Sammi's food
• A few splashes of warm water in Rosie's food

 

Schedule:

 

• Morning Feeding - after wake-up and going outside
• If they did not do their business before breakfast, let them back out immediately after they are done eating
• Evening Feeding - 6:30 PM (ish)
• Let them out immediately after eating

 

Bedtime

 

Both dogs will pretty much chill and sleep throughout the day. They both get tired around 11pm timeframe, but will just chill until you go to bed.

 

• At bedtime, Sammi needs a ride up the stairs
• Rosie may follow, but if not, you can go back and get her

 

They both share the kennel and we do latch it closed at night

 

In case of potty accidents

 

Gloves are in the cabinet by the alarm panel on the first shelf

 

Poop (normal)

• Toilet paper and drop in toilet and flush

Poop (sloppy)

• Hope not, but Use toilet paper or paper towel to get up as much as you can.
• If using paper towel, put the dirty ones in a gallon zip-lock, seal, and place in garbage can in garage
• If using toilet paper, flush

Pee

• Use paper towels to sop up as much as possible
• Put the dirty ones in a gallon zip-lock, seal, and place in garage garbage can

 

All kinds - when done cleaning up

• Spray the area with "Urine Gone" (Black bottle in dining room by the lamp)

House Sitting

 

General

 

• No raging parties :)
• Ok to have a friend over and hang if you like
• Monday evening, please put any garbage from the inside out in the green can in garage and then roll down to the curb for pickup Tuesday morning
• After pickup, return can to garage
• Food, drinks and snacks are fair game :)
• If you want some red wine, there is some in the closet under the stairs
• All bottles in the rack are inventoried and need to be managed properly
• There are sticks with red caps on them, if you take a bottle from the rack, but a stick in its place
• Anything in boxes on the floor is not inventoried and does not need a stick
• Knives with brown handles on the counter do not go in the dishwasher; they are hand-wash only
• Pots and pans are hand-wash only

 

Remote Controls for TV

 

• Logitech (silver remote) will turn on TV and Sound
• Use the function buttons at the top
• Point the remote at the TV and hold there until everything is on

 

• Watch TV
• Press Watch TV

 

• Watch Movie (DVD)
• Press Watch TV

 

• Fire Stick
• Press Watch TV on the Logitech remote
• Once TV is on, use Fire Stick remote and press the Home button

 

• Switch back to TV from Fire Stick
• Press the microphone on Fire Stick and say "switch to cable"

 

Game Room TV / Xbox

 

• Use Fire Stick remote to power on and control

 

Sonos Speakers

 

• Use Alexa commands to play music and set volume
